Home of the Anzar Hawks
Athletics are an important part of the student experience at Anzar High School. Our athletic programs provide students with opportunities to compete, grow, and build lifelong skills through teamwork, leadership, and perseverance.
Through participation in sports, students develop self-discipline, confidence, goal-setting skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Athletics also strengthen school pride and create meaningful connections between students, coaches, families, and the broader community.
Anzar High School competes in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) as a member of the Pacific Coast Athletic League (PCAL). Our programs embrace the CIF philosophy of Pursuing Victory with Honor, which emphasizes sportsmanship, integrity, and respect both on and off the field.
Athletic programs at Anzar are led by Athletic Director Rance Hodge, with support from the student Athletic Commissioner and school administration.
We encourage all students who are interested in athletics to explore the opportunities available and become part of the proud tradition of Anzar Hawks Athletics.
