Welcome Anzar's New Principal

Dear Anzar High School and ASJUSD Community,

It is truly an honor to introduce myself as the next principal of Anzar High School. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join a district and community that clearly values relationships, student growth, and a strong sense of belonging.

Throughout my career in education, I have been passionate about supporting students both academically and personally while helping schools build strong systems, meaningful relationships, and positive school cultures. Most recently, I have served as the Department Chair of Student Services at East Leyden High School in Illinois, where I worked closely with students, staff, families, and administrators to support student achievement, wellness, college and career readiness, and schoolwide improvement efforts.

What immediately stood out to me about Anzar High School was the school’s commitment to knowing students by name and need. The advisory model, strong community connections, focus on student opportunity, and personalized learning environment reflect the type of school culture I deeply value and believe in.

As I begin this new role, my first priority will be to listen, learn, and build relationships with students, staff, families, and community members. I believe schools are strongest when students feel known, staff feel supported, families feel connected, and everyone works together toward a shared vision for student success.

My family and I are excited for this new chapter and grateful for the warm welcome we have already received. I look forward to becoming part of the ASJUSD community and working together to support the continued success of Anzar High School and its students.
