Service Learning

Anzar High School’s Service Learning program encourages students to develop compassion, leadership, and a strong connection to their community. Through meaningful service experiences, students contribute to real community needs while gaining valuable life skills.

Unlike traditional community service programs that focus only on volunteer hours, Anzar’s program emphasizes building relationships, leadership, and personal growth through service.

Students work with local organizations, community programs, and school initiatives to complete service learning experiences that make a positive impact.

Graduation Requirement
All Anzar students complete four semesters of service learning as part of the graduation requirements.
Each semester typically represents 9 hours of service.

Advisors help track student progress and document service learning experiences.

Below are examples of areas where students can earn their service learning hours.  Students may also complete service learning through internships or other approved community placements.
