Hawk Academy: Dual Enrollment Program

Hawk Academy is Anzar High School’s dual enrollment program, designed to give students a powerful head start on college while still in high school. Through partnerships with Gavilan College, students earn college credit at no cost while completing high school graduation requirements and preparing for a range of postsecondary pathways.

Hawk Academy offers structured pathways aligned to Cal-GETC, CSU, career education, and general education, allowing students to engage in rigorous, transferable coursework that builds confidence, independence, and academic momentum. Courses span multiple disciplines, including English, social sciences, science, communication, and career-focused studies, and are taught by qualified college instructors while students remain part of the Anzar community

The program emphasizes access and equity, expanding college opportunities for first-generation college-bound students, English Learners, and students who may not otherwise see themselves as “college material.” Hawk Academy students learn how to navigate college expectations early—earning real transcripts, managing college-level work, and developing the skills needed to succeed after graduation.
Hawk Academy is not an add-on—it is a core part of Anzar’s commitment to preparing students for college, career, and life beyond high school.
