Principal's Message

Welcome to Anzar High SchoolAnzar is a small, rural school by design—and that is our strength. With a close-knit community of approximately 260 students, we are able to truly know our students, build meaningful relationships, and provide an education that is both rigorous and deeply personal.

Since its founding in 1994, Anzar has remained committed to local control, innovation, and preparing students for life beyond high school. Today, that commitment shows up in how we teach, how we support students, and how we challenge them to grow. We are a full-inclusion school that proudly serves a diverse student population, including English Learners and students from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds. Equity and access are daily practices.

Anzar students engage in learning that matters. Through our four-year Advisory program, students build strong connections with adults and peers who support them academically, socially, and emotionally. Our four-semester Service Learning requirement and Post-Graduate Service Learning (PGSL) program push students beyond the classroom, helping them develop purpose, responsibility, and real-world skills. Our dual enrollment program expands access to college-level coursework, allowing students to earn college credit while gaining confidence in their ability to succeed after graduation.

We believe students rise when expectations are high and support is strong. At Anzar, we ask students to think critically, serve their community, and take ownership of their future and we walk alongside them every step of the way.
